One of La Calmette's two Malbec/Merlot blends, this is the 'lightest' and juiciest of their wines. Gently extracted though still retaining Malbec's inky colour, this is a very immediate, enticing, joyful yet complex expression of this grape and this terroir. A wonderful edge of graphite and intense minerality underpin this wine, which is ultimately everything you will want from a medium bodied red - bursts of fruit and spice and pure pleasure. It is a truly super ripe, elegant and juicy red composed of 75% Malbec and 25% Merlot.
Domaine La Calmette was started in 2015 by Maya & Nicolas, a talented couple who bring not only a thorough knowledge of viticulture but also a meticulously researched scientific backbone to their natural wines. Explosive, bursting with life and vibrancy.
